This park is truly a gem! As a Dallas Fort Worth family photographer, I absolutely love working in this park! The old barns on the property are stunning and add so much character to any photoshoot. They're also a great backdrop for capturing that rustic, country feel. The open fields are perfect for creating a natural, free-spirited look, and the fences on the property have a unique charm that can't be replicated elsewhere. But my favorite part of this park has to be the wooded area. It's so peaceful and serene, and the light filtering through the trees creates a magical atmosphere that's perfect for capturing intimate moments. Although there is an entry fee of $7 per adult, it's worth every penny to access such a versatile and beautiful location.

Marti Van Ravensway Park

Nestled near Lake Arlington, this park is a dream location for any Dallas Fort Worth family photographer. With its beautiful colors that change throughout the year, unique features such as a giant rock, forested areas, and open spaces, it offers so much variety in just one location. And the best part? Just around the corner is the Field, followed by another park with great rocks, tree-lines, and a picturesque lake. We love that we can capture stunning shots in all three locations during a single session. Plus, it's conveniently located near our studio, making it easy to combine studio and outdoor sessions on the same day.

As soon as you enter this Fort Worth Park, you're greeted by a giant, stunning willow tree that provides a beautiful natural backdrop for photos. From there, you can take a short walk to the waterfall area, which features a cascading flow of water over rocks and creates a tranquil atmosphere. Depending on the weather, the waterfall can be more or less powerful, but it always adds a unique touch to any portrait session. There are also plenty of other scenic spots to explore, including a field, trees, and rocks. I love how much variety this location has, and how easy it is to capture different moods and aesthetics all in one session. It's no wonder that this park is a favorite among my clients and me alike.

The Botanical Gardens in Grapevine is a dream space, offering free use for portraits amidst its beautifully manicured surroundings. One of my favorite times to visit the Botanical Gardens is in the Spring and Fall, when the foliage is at its peak. The gardens come alive with vibrant shades of green, and the shade trees offer a welcome respite from the warm sun. To begin, check out our Sessions Menu which includes a variety of options such as Themed Portraits, Animal Experience Portraits, Seasonal Portraits, and more. Lots of Seniors like these options. You can even create your own session by selecting "Custom Heirloom Studio Portraits" or "Custom Heirloom Outdoor Portraits" - perfect for capturing family moments & portraits of your Senior or just something more traditional and custom for your Senior.

When you're ready, simply book your session right on our Sessions Menu. As a DFW Senior photographer, I can't wait to help you create timeless portraits that will be cherished for years to come.

We LOVE this part!

First, If you chose a custom outdoor session, we need to come up with a location together. This should fit the vibe of the portraits desired. We have lots of suggestions but we also welcome unique ideas that fit your Seniors personality.

Then, no matter which session you booked, we recommend your Senior going through their closet and selecting 3-5 items that make them feel confident and beautiful. We do not restrict the number of outfit changes so feel free to bring a few choices for us to select on-site. Be sure to think about accessories like jewelry, ties, hats, letterman jacket, etc...

For a more casual vibe in the spring or summer, choose khaki shorts with polos or dressy tank tops and short sleeves in spring and summer colors. Dress it up with Khaki pants and short sleeve button downs or summer dresses.

For Fall, opt for dark jeans and Polos or blouses with darker tones. Dress it up with black pants and button-down long-sleeve shirts., more formal dresses, or suits.

We are totally available to review your selections prior to your session if desired. We would love to help you select outfits for a stunning collection of portraits that you'll cherish forever.

Our sessions are a blast! Whether you're capturing a portrait with a unicorn or updating your family portrait for the fireplace, we'll have a great time creating something wonderful together.

Our themed sessions typically last 15-20 minutes, depending on the theme, and we'll aim for 5-10 poses.

For our Custom Sessions, you'll have up to 1 hour to outfit change, bring special props, and invite friends and family. This is the perfect option if you're looking for a full-service portrait session and want to ensure you get everything you're hoping for.

3. have a spectacular photoshoot

The week after your session, we'll meet either online or in-person to review and select your images. Together, we'll go through your photos, and I'll help you choose the best ones to ensure you're completely satisfied with our time together.

Once you've selected your digital images, we'll help you choose your prints. We offer a range of wall art options, including Artist Prints, Canvas, and Metal pieces, as well as traditional loose prints. We also have albums and photographic gifts available to display your images in the best possible way.

We'll make sure you get EXACTLY what you need to showcase your gorgeous portraits.

4. review & Selection

In just 2 short weeks after our viewing and selection appointment, you'll receive a gallery of full resolution digital images delivered straight to your email. These will be the images that capture the essence of your loved ones in a truly special way.

Another 2 weeks after that, you'll have the physical prints of these cherished moments in your hands. We'll let you know as soon as they're ready for pick-up or mail them to you if you're not nearby. These prints are more than just pictures - they're a testament to the love and connection you share with your family and friends.
